East Hampton Town Airport

Town-operated GA · sole ramp
Standard · 3 hoursSame-day · from 2 hours

The Hamptons' direct field — minutes from East Hampton, Amagansett, and Sag Harbor. Town-operated; no FBO chain. Because access has been litigated, we confirm the field's current operating status and any prior-permission requirement before every delivery.

Other operators in the area — Million Air HPN, Signature Newark — handled separately. See nearby airports below.

Briefing

What we plan around at JPX.

Local constraints we build into every delivery window — curfew, customs, slots, transit, and ramp access.

01

File as JPX, not HTO.

The FAA changed the identifier to JPX in May 2022. HTO can't be used as an origin/destination on a flight plan. We dispatch to the current identifier.

02

Status is court-managed.

After a multi-year legal fight, the airport remains public-use under court order, with restrictions limited to voluntary noise abatement — but the situation is unresolved and could change. We verify operating status before every trip.

03

Voluntary curfew + Pilot Pledge.

Operators are asked to observe a voluntary overnight curfew and fly designated noise-abatement and helicopter routes. We schedule inside the quiet hours and pre-stage early departures.

04

Call-ahead is the norm.

Because of chart/NOTAM inconsistencies during the dispute, the standing industry advice is to confirm current field information before departure. We build that into the order.

05

Peak-summer parking.

Memorial Day to Labor Day fills the ramp; drop-and-go is common. Confirm whether catering loads on the drop or the return.

06

No US Customs.

International clears elsewhere (e.g., Republic, or a Westchester/Long Island POE) first.

Local sourcing

East Hampton flights leave from our NYC kitchen network, which means Long Island seafood, North Fork wine, and Hamptons farm-stand produce are all within reach — plus named restaurant sourcing from East Hampton and Sag Harbor when your principal asks for a specific kitchen.

Long Island seafood.

Oysters, fluke, day-boat catch — same-day to our NYC kitchen for Hamptons-bound legs.

Hamptons farm-stand produce.
