Briefing

What we plan around at TRK.

Local constraints we build into every delivery window — curfew, customs, slots, transit, and ramp access.

01

Voluntary "Fly Quiet" curfew, 10pm–7am.

A noise-sensitive community; the airport runs a Fly Quiet program (hangar-lease incentives for compliance) and asks operators to avoid overnight ops. We schedule inside it and pre-stage early departures.

02

High density altitude.

At 5,904 ft, summer DA can exceed 9,000 ft — real weight/performance penalties on departure. Principals on a heavy jet may leave payload behind; we coordinate timing.

03

Seasonal field hours.

Hours swing by season (shorter in fall/winter). We confirm current hours and stage accordingly.

04

Mountain weather + winter ops.

Snow and wind move schedules; hot items pack to hold. Glider activity May–Oct is a crew note.

05

No US Customs.

International clears at a Bay Area / Reno port of entry first.

Local sourcing

Around TRK.

Truckee flights are catered from our Sierra network — mountain sourcing, Tahoe restaurant requests, and Northern California produce in season. Most TRK orders are built around a specific restaurant request or ski-season provisioning, staged inside the Fly Quiet window.

Sierra / Tahoe mountain sourcing.

Regional proteins and mountain-market provisions for ski-season dinners and lake-season spreads.

Northern California produce.

Seasonal produce from the Sierra foothills and Northern California growers.

Truckee / Tahoe restaurant sourcing.

Want a specific dish from a named Truckee or Tahoe kitchen? Tell us where.

Special diets.

Kosher, halal, and allergen-controlled meals on 24-hour lead — certified sourcing comes from the valley; give us lead time.
