JFK · KJFK1 FBO

The ultra-long-range international gateway, slot-controlled and congested. Right for a G700 to the Gulf. Wrong for a Monday morning into Midtown.

Ramp coordination and taxi at Kennedy run long, and a slot reservation governs the timing rather than the filed time. We work to the confirmed slot.

Most private trips into New York are better served away from Kennedy. Teterboro is the metro's primary business-aviation field, fifteen minutes from Manhattan via the George Washington Bridge. Westchester serves the northern suburbs and hedge-fund Connecticut, Morristown the northern New Jersey corporate belt, Republic and Long Island MacArthur the island. Kennedy earns its place on one specific profile: an ultra-long-range international departure or arrival that needs a 14,000-foot runway and full customs on site.

Briefing

What we plan around at JFK.

Local constraints we build into every delivery window — curfew, customs, slots, transit, and ramp access.

01

Slots govern the schedule.

Kennedy operates under a federal order limiting operations, and unscheduled traffic, which includes general aviation, needs a reservation. The operator secures it and everything else follows it. We time delivery to the confirmed slot, not the filed one.

02

Where Kennedy genuinely wins.

The longest runway here is over 14,000 feet, which takes anything flying, including a G700 or Global 8000 at full range. Full customs is on site. For a long transpacific or Gulf departure, that combination is not available at a reliever.

03

Congestion is the cost.

Taxi and ramp coordination at a hub of this size run materially longer than at Teterboro. Cold chain and packaging both assume an extended ground hold rather than a quick turn.

04

The ground transfer is the other cost.

Kennedy sits roughly fifteen miles from Midtown, but the run is through Queens traffic and can take well over an hour at the wrong time of day. Teterboro is often quicker door to door despite being further out.

05

International arrivals and onward legs.

Clearing customs here and repositioning to Teterboro or Republic is a common pattern. We can provision the international leg, the domestic leg, or both, and we will pack the first to survive the second.

06

Any tail, no size question.

Aircraft size is never the constraint at Kennedy. Slots, congestion and ground transfer are.

Local sourcing

Around JFK.

New York sourcing, which means access to more or less anything, and a supply chain that does not blink at a short-notice request.

Manhattan restaurant sourcing.

Named dishes from New York kitchens, sourced to order across the boroughs.

North Atlantic seafood.

Montauk and Long Island landings, oysters from the Peconic bays, and the Fulton trade.

Hudson Valley and Long Island produce.

Farm produce, cheese and orchard fruit from up the valley and out on the North Fork.

Special diets and certification.

Kosher-style, halal, vegetarian, vegan, allergen and medical menus on 24-hour lead. Where a certification is required rather than a style, we will say plainly what we can and cannot document.

Common orders

What we usually pack out of JFK.

01Long-haul provisioning for transpacific and Gulf departures
02Cold service built to hold through an extended ground wait
03Split provisioning where the trip clears customs here and repositions to Teterboro
04Named Manhattan restaurant dishes, sourced across the boroughs

If the trip is Kennedy, it is usually going a long way.

Step 01
Brief us.
Send the tail, the field, the passenger count and any dietary requirements by 4pm the day before. Same-day works from two hours.
Step 02
Menu confirmation.
We come back within the hour with a confirmed menu, sourcing notes, and anything we need to flag.
Step 03
Packed for the long leg and the long wait.
For a fourteen-hour departure the kitchen builds multi-service provisioning with staged courses. For the ground time before it, everything is packed to hold.
Step 04
Delivered to the confirmed slot.
Delivery is timed to the slot the operator holds, not the filed departure. If the trip repositions to Teterboro or Republic afterwards, we can provision that leg too.

FAQ

Sometimes. It is the right field for an ultra-long-range international departure that needs a 14,000-foot runway and customs on site. For most New York trips, Teterboro is faster door to door and far less congested, and we cater it.

Unscheduled operations, which includes general aviation, need a reservation at Kennedy. The operator secures it, and we time delivery to the confirmed slot rather than the filed departure.

Roughly fifteen miles, but through Queens traffic it can exceed an hour at the wrong time. Teterboro is often quicker door to door despite sitting further from the city.

New York, which is to say almost anything. Manhattan restaurant sourcing, North Atlantic seafood, Hudson Valley and North Fork produce.
